What Walkaway does

With your authorization, Walkaway operates in your browser, on accounts you are signed into. When you start a scan, it goes through the cancellation flow of each paid subscription it confirms is yours, far enough to find a retention offer, and stops there. It accepts only the offers you pick, after you confirm. It does not cancel subscriptions: it has no "confirm cancellation" action, fixed rules refuse final-step buttons, and if a page ever says something was cancelled after one of its presses, it stops and tells you.

Your responsibilities

Limits

Scanning is free within a daily limit per installation and per network. We may pause walks, on one service or on all of them, at any time, for example after a page reported a cancellation; a run then stops before pressing anything more, and nothing is charged for what it didn't do.

Fees

Scanning is free. If you start a run, Stripe saves your card and nothing is charged at that point (if the fee on the offers you picked would be under $1.00 even if every one came through, no card is asked for). After the run we charge 20% of the savings we verified on your billing pages over the term of each accepted offer, or nothing if no savings were verified. A saving counts only when your billing page shows both the old and the new price. A fee under $1.00 is not charged. We email you a receipt listing each service, what Walkaway did there, the prices and the fee. If fewer services came through than estimated, the charge is correspondingly lower. If we charged you for savings that did not materialize, contact us within 30 days for a refund.

Records of each run

To answer refund requests and complaints, and to check that a walk was done properly, we keep a record of the steps Walkaway took on each site: which service, which kind of screen, what it did there and the words on the button it pressed, and what came of it. Names, email addresses and numbers are removed before it is saved, and it never includes the pages themselves, passwords or payment details. It is tied to a random run reference instead of your name; if you go to checkout, Stripe keeps that reference with your payment details, so the record of a run you were charged for can be linked to you. We keep it 90 days, or 18 months for runs you were charged or invoiced for. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

No guarantee

Whether a service makes an offer, and how large it is, is up to that service. Estimates shown before a run are estimates. We do not guarantee any particular saving.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Walkaway's liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Walkaway is provided “as is.”

Not affiliated

Walkaway is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any subscription service mentioned.
